Gearbox, also known as reducer and gear reduction box, is a widely used reduction transmission mechanism equipment. The structure of the gearbox is as follows:
1. Box body and lid
The box body and box cover are the supports and containing parts of the transmission parts in the reducer. They have a complex structure. The box body is under pressure and requires good steel strength, vibration damping and sealing. When the box cover and box body are produced in single pieces in small batches, they are made of gray cast iron and cast by manual molding methods; or they are made of carbon structural steel and welded by manual arc welding. In mass production, gray cast iron is used and cast by machine molding methods.
2. Shafts, gear shafts and gears
The shaft, gear shaft and gears are all important transmission parts in the reducer. The shaft part of the shaft and gear shaft is subject to the combined effects of bending and torsion, requiring good comprehensive mechanical properties; the gear teeth of the gear shaft and gear Parts subject to greater contact stress and bending stress should have good wear resistance and high strength. When producing a single piece, medium carbon steel (45 steel) is used to form it by free forging or tire die forging. It can also be turned from a round steel bar of medium carbon steel. In mass production, medium carbon steel is formed by die forging.
3. Rolling bearings
The rolling bearings in the reducer are subject to radial and axial compressive stress and require high strength and wear resistance. The rolling bearing is a standard part. Its inner and outer rings are made of wave bearing steel (GCrl5) forged by expansion, the balls are spirally cross-rolled from rolling bearing steel, and the cage is stamped from high-quality carbon structural steel (08 steel).
4. Bearing end cover
The bearing end cover mainly prevents the bearing from moving and plays a protective role. In single piece and small batch production, gray cast iron is used for manual molding and casting, or carbon structural steel round steel is turned. In mass production, gray cast iron is machine-shaped and cast.
5. Bolts and nuts
Bolts and nuts play the role of fixing the box cover and box body. The bolt rod is subject to longitudinal (axial) tensile stress, bending stress and transverse shear stress.
